Spring: Emphasizing on intimidating terrorists from the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) government at the Centre, Defense Minister Rajnath Singh on Thursday said that there has not been a single major terrorist attack in India since Prime Minister Narendra Modi assumed power in 2014.

“This is our big achievement. It seems that terrorists are now scared of the BJP government. This is no small thing,” he said.
Addressing Gujarat BJP leaders on the second day of the party’s three-day state executive meeting at Kevadiya in Narmada district, the Defense Minister said, “The terrorists have now realized that they are not safe even in their safe haven.”
PTI quoted Singh as saying, “What we did (surgical strike in PoK) after the Uri attack sent a clear message to the world that we can kill terrorists on this side as well as cross the border if needed.” “
The Defense Minister also used the occasion to take a dig at the Congress and said that the party was not sensitive towards the Army personnel as it kept the One Rank One Pension (OROP) issue unresolved for 40 years.
Singh said the issue of OROP, which the jawans had been demanding for 40 years, would have been resolved had the previous Congress governments been sensitive towards the army personnel.
Stating that the Congress did not accept the demand, Singh said: “But Modi ji implemented it immediately. This shows the difference between a Congress government and a BJP government.”
Stepping up his attack on the Congress, the Defense Minister said that the leaders of the oldest party only used the name of Mahatma Gandhi, but failed to follow in his footsteps.
Referring to the Ram temple in Ayodhya, Singh said the BJP always fulfills its promise.
He said, “These are not just election slogans, it is our cultural commitment. Now no power can stop the construction of a grand Ram temple. We had sacrificed our three state governments after the structure (mosque) was demolished. However, the Centre.
