SrinagarSecurity forces on Tuesday killed a Pakistan-backed terrorist in the Padgampura area of South Kashmir’s Pulwama district in an ongoing encounter in the early hours of Tuesday. “One terrorist killed. The body of the slain terrorist has not been recovered yet. The encounter is on,” police said.
The gunfight started after a joint team of police and security forces received inputs about the presence of terrorists in that area.

After the security forces cordoned off the area, the terrorists hiding there started firing which was retaliated by the security forces. There have been several encounters between terrorists and security forces across Kashmir in the recent past in which several terrorists have been eliminated.
