Ten coaches of LTT-Jayanagar Express derail near Nashik with minor injuries, no casualties

new Delhi: Ten coaches of Lokmanya Tilak Terminus-Jayanagar derailed between Lahvit and Devlali near Nashik in Maharashtra at around 3:10 pm on Sunday.

Central Railway said relief and medical vans were immediately dispatched to the spot.

Two people are reported to have received minor injuries in the accident, in which no one was injured. The CPRO said that first aid is being given to both the injured.

“2 minor injuries in train derailment in Nashik. Both were given first aid, no hospitalization required. No one else is reported to be injured, no one has even died. Near the tracks One of the bodies found does not belong to any passenger, and is believed to have been there before the derailment,” the CPRO said.

According to the Times of India report, Nashik’s Resident Deputy Collector, Bhagwat Doifode said that he had asked the Tehsildar of Nashik and the Sub-Divisional Officer of Nashik to arrange for rescue and relief measures.

Meanwhile, the railways has canceled or diverted several trains of Bhusaval division due to derailment, the CPRO said.
