Telangana: Congress leader V Hanumanth Rao lodges complaint seeking inquiry into his morphed picture viral on social media | Hyderabad News – Times of India

HYDERABAD: Congress veteran and former MP V Hanumanth Rao on Monday lodged a complaint with the Hyderabad police commissioner and also the cybercrime police seeking an inquiry into a morphed picture posted on social media in which he is wearing a TRS Kanduva and standing along with TRS president and chief minister K Chandrasekhar Rao,
In the picture which went viral on social media, V Hanumanth Rao is standing beside chief minister on one side and Telangana Congress working president T Jayaprakash Reddy on the side of KCR, projecting as if the two are sporting the TRS.
In his complaint, Hanumanth Rao said the issue was tainting his political career and that the picture, which was shared through WhatsApp, was now viral on various social media platforms.
“This is false, provocative and objectionable. I request the police to investigate who is spreading the fake news against me, which is causing damage to my political life. Stringent action should be taken against the guilty,” Hanumanth Rao said in his complaint.
Rao, also met city police commissioner CV Anand and submitted the petition and requested necessary action.
