In the viral video, the groom, Ryaad, can be seen opening the gift to reveal a container filled with petrol, then poses with him while surrounded by his friends.

“It was our way of telling the government at the Center that raising the price of petrol should not burden the common man. The price should be brought down,” Mohsin later told TOI.

While oil marketing companies (OMCs) continued to hold fuel price revisions for the eleventh day in a row, the longest period in weeks. However, petrol prices in all metros have now crossed the Rs 100 per liter mark.

According to an Indian Today report, the price per liter was being sold at Rs 105.83 in Hyderabad, the capital of Telangana state and Rs 106 per liter in Sangareddy.

One of the main reasons for the stagnation in fuel prices has been a drop in global oil prices of more than 10 per cent, with benchmark crude at $69 a barrel, up from $77 a barrel a few weeks ago. On strong demand projections, it again rose to close to $ 75 a barrel.

With no change in prices on Wednesday, petrol in the national capital is being sold at Rs 101.84 per liter, while diesel is also being sold at an unchanged price of Rs 89.87 per litre.
