Telangana CM KCR’s Daughter K Kavitha To Hold Hunger Strike At Jantar Mantar In Delhi Today, 12 Parties To Join

New Delhi: Senior leader of Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS) K Kavita is on hunger strike in New Delhi today demanding introduction of Women’s Reservation Bill in Parliament. Leaders of several parties, including the Trinamool Congress and the Samajwadi Party, are likely to participate in the day-long performance of the poem at Jantar Mantar in the national capital.

This comes just a day before he is to be questioned by the Enforcement Directorate in connection with the Delhi liquor policy scam.

“We released a poster on March 2 about the hunger strike in Delhi over the Women’s Reservation Bill. Got ready for.” K Kavita said.

As per the ED’s case, Kavitha is a member of the “South Cartel” who received payments after Delhi’s now repealed liquor law came into force. The BRS leader has disputed the claims and accused the central government of exploiting the investigative agencies for political purposes.

Kavita, speaking on the Women’s Reservation Bill, said that the BJP had vowed to legislate in the 2014 and 2019 general elections, but failed to do so despite winning a clear majority. The law proposes a constitutional reform to reserve one-third of the seats in the Lok Sabha and the Legislative Assemblies.
