Telangana Chief Minister KCR will enter national politics, will launch third front ‘Bharatiya Rashtra Samithi’

The TRS leader has been at loggerheads with the saffron party over several issues.

Chief Minister of Telangana K Chandrasekhar RaoHaving been at war with the BJP-led central government for a long time, is set to enter national politics soon, with the 2024 elections looming. He will launch a national party named ‘Bharatiya Rashtra Samithi’.

A release quoted him as saying that the name of TRS will be changed to BRS in the meeting to be held on June 19.

The TRS leader has been at loggerheads with the saffron party over paddy recruitment issues, and claimed on several occasions that the BJP is adopting divisive politics to hide its failures.

Rao, also known as KCR, has been trying to form an anti-BJP and anti-Congress front with various regional parties. Reports suggest that KCR’s party TRS has also roped in political strategist Prashant Kishor to form a front against the Narendra Modi-led BJP government.

KCR had earlier met regional CMs like Mamata Banerjee, MK Stalin, Uddhav Thackeray and Hemant Soren, former PM HD Deve Gowda and former CMs HD Kumara Swamy and Akhilesh Yadav, where they discussed the Third Front.
