Dr RS Praveen Kumar alleged that only the members of KCR’s Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS) are getting the benefits of the Dalit Bandhu scheme.

Telangana Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP) President Dr RS Praveen Kumar wrote an open letter to Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao ahead of the unveiling of the 125 feet tall statue of Dr Babasaheb Ambedkar in Hyderabad on April 14. In the letter, he mainly asked 25 questions regarding the welfare of the Bahujans in the state.

He asked the CM that “when the latter had said that the Constitution needed to be rewritten, was it only for political purposes? Because now he was going to unveil the statue of the constitution maker.

“What are the reasons that there are no SC, ST, BC and minority officers in the Chief Minister’s Office? Are they not qualified to work for you? Or you don’t like the executives of those groups,” he asked.

The BSP president also raised the issue of the arrest of Manda Krishna Madiga, an activist fighting for the rights of Scheduled Caste Madiga. He asked why the worker was sent to jail twice.

Speaking about the recent leak of Telangana State Public Service Commission (TSPSC) question papers, he asked why a thorough investigation was not being done. “Why is TSPSC chairman B Janardhana Reddy being protected. If Ambedkar said that according to Article 315 of the Constitution of India job appointments should be done in a transparent manner, if the paper is leaked and the future of 30 lakh unemployed is in dark then why are you silent? Why are the accused given protection?”

Kumar alleged that only members of KCR’s Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS) were getting the benefits of the Dalit Bandhu scheme.

Talking about the Dharani portal, which was an integrated land record system, the BSP leader said it was being used to harass farmers. Why are farmers being harassed by bringing Dharani portal in the name of land clearance? Why is the guarantee of loan waiver of farmers not being fulfilled? Why can’t the government stop farmer suicides?” he asked in the letter.

He also pointed out the poor condition of government residential hostels where basic necessities like toilets, drinking water and libraries are not available.
