Two videos of Telangana BJP president Bandi Sanjay’s son Bhagirath assaulting a fellow student at Mahindra University surfaced on social media, following which a case was registered against him and five others.

The Dundigal police booked him and five others under IPC sections 323 (punishment for voluntarily causing hurt), 341 (wrongful restraint), 504 (breach of the peace), and 506 (criminal intimidation) following a complaint by Mahindra University. Entered.
Sharing the video of the attack on Twitter, BRS social media convenor Y Satheesh Reddy said, “A case of ragging and assault on the son of @BJP4Telangana President @bandisanjay_bjp. Hitting, kicking and abusing your fellow student in the university! The student is now hospitalized. Will Shri @JPNadda dare to comment on this?”
Meanwhile, the boy, identified as Shriram, also released a video saying that it was a minor matter. “We had an argument when he talked to me about killing his friend’s sister. I spoke to him in a rude tone, after which we had a fight.”
He said, ‘It was a minor issue, I don’t know why it is being highlighted. Case closed. We are batchmates and friends.
Bandi Sanjay also issued a statement on the issue alleging that the incident happened two months back. “It is sad that now KCR is dragging our children into dirty politics… This incident happened two months ago, KCR is pressurizing the university to register a criminal case against my son,” he said in the statement. ‘
“No matter what you (KCR) do, Bandi Sanjay will not back down. A video has surfaced in which my son’s classmate has clearly stated that it was an internal matter and the matter was resolved but KCR is deliberately trying to target my family… Ready to surrender before the police as the truth will come out,” he said.
In another video that surfaced later, Sanjay’s son can be seen slapping another youth multiple times and threatening him with a group of friends.
It is not clear when this incident happened. A case is yet to be registered on this video.
