Hyderabad: Telangana on Tuesday recorded 336 new Covid-19 cases and one death, while the number of active cases in the state stood at 5,282.
The total number of cases since the start of the pandemic last year is 6,62,202 and the death toll is 3,898.
A total of 306 patients were declared healthy on Tuesday, taking the total number of cured patients to 6,53,022.
The case fatality rate (CFR) is 0.58% while the recovery rate currently stands at 98.61%. So far, 79.8% of the total cases in the state have been asymptomatic while 20.2% have been symptomatic.
On Tuesday, 76,481 samples were tested for the novel coronavirus. Telangana has now completed the testing of 2.55 crore samples and has reached to 6.87 lakh sample tests per million population.
NS Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC) reported 96 cases on Tuesday, while neighboring Medchal Malkajgiri reported 17 cases, Ranga Reddy reported 24 cases and Sanga Reddy 3 cases. Outside Hyderabad city and its outskirts, Nalgonda reported the maximum number of cases with 23 new cases.
