Hyderabad: Telangana On Monday, 179 new Covid-19 cases and two deaths were recorded. The number of active cases in the state stood at 4,023. The total number of cases since the start of the pandemic last year is 6,70,453 and the death toll stands at 3,949.
A total of 104 patients were declared healthy on Monday, taking the total number of cured patients to 6,62,481. The case fatality rate (CFR) is 0.59 percent while the recovery rate is 98.81 percent. Of the total cases in the state so far, 79.9 per cent have been asymptomatic while 20.1% have been symptomatic.
On Monday 38,588 samples were tested for the novel coronavirus. Telangana has now completed the testing of 2.73 crore samples and has reached to 7.34 lakh sample tests per million population.
NS Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC) reported 66 cases on Monday, while neighboring Medchal Malkajgiri reported 10 cases, Ranga Reddy 9 and Sanga Reddy 2. outside of Hyderabad City and its outskirts, Karimnagar Highest number of cases were reported with 15 new cases.
