Tej Pratap Yadav seeks Lalu’s intervention in sacking of close aide of Bihar RJD chief

Patna: Taking potshots at party’s Bihar president Jagadanand Singh over the sacking of his close aide Akash Yadav, Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) supremo Lalu Prasad Yadav’s elder son Tej Pratap Yadav on Thursday sought his father’s intervention.

“I also urge my father Lalu Prasad Yadav to take action against him. If no action is taken, I will not participate in the activities of any party,” ANI quoted Tej Pratap as saying.

Continuing his displeasure, Tej Pratap said that Jagdanand Singh feels that this is his party.

“The constitution of the party was not followed, why no notice was issued to our student leaders? Who is Tej Pratap Yadav trying to blackmail us by saying? They just want to break our Krishna-Arjuna pair.”

Tej Pratap’s remarks came after Gagan Kumar was replaced by Akash Yadav, the state president of RJD students’ union.

However, the Bihar RJD chief tried to play down the controversy and said that Tej Pratap has a “misunderstanding”.

“I didn’t know that he (Tej Pratap) was angry. Maybe he has some misunderstanding. He wants to make a small matter a big affair,” he told ANI.
