According to the local residents who rescued her, the minor said that she was gangraped by three men. They have demanded the apprehension of the culprits within the 12 hours.
In a horrific incident, a 14-year-old girl was allegedly raped by three men in Dhing area of Nagaon district of Assam on Thursday.
The minor was found in a semi-conscious state lying near a pond with her cycle besides her. Some local residents spotted the girl was immediately reported the police. The minor was rescued and was rushed to Dhing FRU for medical assistance. The girl’s condition is said to be not well.
As per the local reports, the incident took place when the minor was returning home from her tuition in the evening. She was lying on the road without any clothing for around an hour before being rescued.
According to the local residents who rescued her, the minor said that she was gangraped by three men. They have demanded the apprehension of the culprits within the 12 hours.
“We saw a girl was lying near a pond with her cycle laying besides her. We went to her and asked what happened. She said three men raped her. We demand the culprit to be arrested within 12 hours,” they said.
Meanwhile, in lieu of the horrific incident, a bandh has been called in the region by student unions, including, AASU and other civil society organisations.
The incident came amid the ongoing protests and outrage in the wake of the gruesome rape and murder of a trainee doctor in RG Kar Medical College in Kolkata. The horrendous crime has shaken the country with the nationwide protests demanding speedy justice.
