‘Technology is integral to fight against COVID-19’: PM Modi at CoWIN Global Conclave

Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Monday addressed the CoWIN Global Conclave as India offers CoWIN as a digital public good for the world to combat Covid-19. The CoWIN portal developed by India has emerged as a state-of-the-art Indian IT platform that laid the foundation for the world’s largest vaccine campaign.

Sharing his views on the CoWIN Global Conclave, PM Narendra Modi said that India is committed to sharing its experience, expertise and resources with the global community.

“Since the beginning of this pandemic, India has been committed to sharing its experiences, expertise and resources with the global community in this fight. Despite our odds, we have tried to share as much as possible with the world. We are eager to learn from global practices,” PM Modi said.

The Prime Minister said that technology is an integral part of our fight against COVID-19. The PM said that software is one such area, which has done tracking and tracing of Kovid patients and we are able to provide them with the necessary things.

“This open-source end-to-end encrypted technology has made it possible to deliver 350 million doses of the COVID vaccine. A few days ago we vaccinated 9 million people a day. They don’t have to carry a fragile piece To prove his vaccine status of paper,” the PM said.

Meanwhile, the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare reported in the daily health bulletin that India has so far administered about 35.28 crore vaccine doses under the nationwide vaccination campaign.
