Mysuru: Manjunath, a surveyor and technical assistant, hooked up to deputy director of land document court docket, deputy commissioner’s workplace, was caught red-handed whereas receiving a bribe from a complainant on Saturday.
Anti-Corruption Bureau superintendent of police VJ Sajeeth stated Manjunath had allegedly demanded cash from a Periyapatna resident, the complainant, to alter land data.
The official had demanded Rs 35,000 from him following which he lodged a grievance with the Anti-Corruption Bureau on July 29.
The official was trapped close to a Central authorities workplace on Bannur Highway on Saturday.
