Rakhi Sawant arrives at Mumbai’s Municipal Christian Ceremony with her mother’s mortal remains. The actress was accompanied by her husband Adil Khan Durrani and friends. Rakhi and her relatives, including her brother Rakesh, paid tribute to Jaya Peda, who died of endometrial cancer on Saturday night. Actress Rashmi Desai also attended the funeral and consoled Rakhi in her difficult times.

Rakhi Sawant confirmed on Sunday morning that her mother Jaya Bheda passed away at a Mumbai hospital. According to Deepak Namjoshi, pulmonologist and director of Criticare Asia Multispeciality Hospital and Research Centre, Juhu, 73-year-old Bheda passed away at around 9 pm on Saturday.
In a statement shared on his Instagram Stories, Sawant said that the last rites will be performed on Sunday afternoon at Nagar Christian Cemetery. “With deep sadness, I, Rakhi Sawant, inform you (about) the sudden demise of my dear mother. Many of you know that she was suffering from certain medical conditions… I am Sad to say she is gone. Please attend my mother’s last rites at 12 noon.”
Sawant’s mother had stage IV endometrial cancer which had spread to the brain, lungs and liver. Sawant also shared a post on Instagram informing his fans and followers about his mother’s demise.
“Today, my mother left me. And I have nothing to lose. I love you, mother. Who will listen to me now, who will hug me? I miss you, mother,” “I Hoon na” the actor captioned a video of his mother from the hospital.
Sawant, also known for appearing Salman Khan-Host reality show “Bigg Boss”, often spoke to paparazzi about his mother’s health.
