TCS tops list of best Indian companies, 23 out of 25 from Bengaluru: Survey

Tata Consultancy Services (TCS), Accenture and Cognizant top the list of companies in India launched by LinkedIn on Wednesday. The sixth annual edition reveals the 25 best workplaces where professionals in India can advance their careers. According to the survey, 23 of the 25 top companies having offices in Bengaluru, the city has cemented its reputation as the “Silicon Valley of India”, claims the survey.

Amidst this digital boom, the sixth annual ranking also featured notable financial organizations including EY, (Rank 13), ICICI Bank (Rank 14), and HDFC Bank (Rank 17). This year’s list also includes Publicis Group (Rank 12), Arm (Rank 21), and Bosch (Rank 24), making their first LinkedIn debut in India as top companies.

After switching to gender-neutral policies in India last year, Accenture has moved closer to its goal of 50:50 representation with women, who now comprise 45 percent of the company’s workforce. Additionally, Wipro has taken actionable steps towards inclusion by launching a return to work program to help women restart their careers after a break. TCS has a total workforce of over 5 lakhs; Out of which more than 2 lakh are working women.”
