Senior Congress and former Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Digvijay Singh has taken a jibe at Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh chief Mohan Bhagwat’s DNA statement. He said, ‘If the DNA of Hindus and Muslims is the same, then what is the use of enacting a law against conversion? What was the need to enact a law against love jihad? This means that the DNA of Mohan Bhagwat and AIMIM chief Asaduddin Owaisi is also the same. Singh made this statement on the question of journalists after a tribute meeting in Sehore, Madhya Pradesh late on Wednesday night.

Told both as two sides of the same coin
A day earlier, Digvijay Singh had tweeted a news clipping and described Mohan Bhagwat and AIMIM President Asaduddin Owaisi as each other’s helpers.

Bhagwat said this
Mohan Bhagwat had said in a program organized by the Muslim Rashtriya Manch that Hindu-Muslim unity in the country is a misleading thing, because they are not different, but one. One cannot discriminate between people on the basis of the way they worship. Bhagwat said that the DNA of all Indians is the same, irrespective of religion. The Hindu who says that Muslims cannot live here, then that person is not a Hindu at all. He also said that those who indulge in lynchings by the mob are against Hindutva. Cow is a sacred animal, but taking someone’s life on its pretext is against Hindutva.
