Tatanagar: Former students of SW Railway High School have fresh memories, took away happiness – Rail Hunt

Tatanagar South Eastern Railway Mixed High School, Bagbera Railway Colony has a long and historical history. From here the pass out students are occupying important positions not only in the country but also abroad and many of them have now retired or are close to it. On Sunday, 29 May 2022, the students of Bangla Medium of the school organized a one-day reunion festival in the Tatanagar Railway Institute Hall to refresh their old memories.

In this festival, which lasted from morning till evening, 250 students of the school from 1972 to 2010 batch gathered. Be the teacher of this happy moment. Former teachers and teachers inaugurated the program by lighting the lamp. The students honored their gurus by giving them flowers and by giving them a memorial. For this historic moment, the organizing team of the event searched the teachers hard and one by one, teachers Ajit Kumar Som, Panchanan Majumdar, Meera Basu, Vijay Krishna Raj were witnesses of this moment in the form of Gurudakshina.

After this the whole team reached the school premises with the teachers and teachers where they had spent their childhood. It was a very emotional moment in the premises of SERMH, School, Tatanagar when everyone got to know each other and save the old memories. However, by blowing up the balloon, the students and teachers converted this cumbersome moment into happiness. Reaching their old school building, the teachers and students refreshed their old memories and were lost in it for hours. Let us inform here that the Railways has decided to close this school permanently from March 31, 2022.

Anil Das, Arpita Poddar, Jyotirmay Rakshit, Pallab Mukherjee, Ratan Pal, Shyamshree Chakraborty, Piyush, Subhashish Pal, Sanjeev Saha, Sapan Kumar Baid, Kaushik Ghoshal, Tapas Chattraj etc. have worked hard since 1972. Took a list of 250 students up to the 2010 batch and made them a witness to the moment by searching them. This moment was shared by Tapas Chattaraj, a 1975 batch student from Railhunt. Tapas is a retired guard from Railways. The erstwhile Pratim Pathak (1976 batch) of America’s Illinois (resident of Moline near Chicago) had also reached here to participate in the program.
