Tata Nexon EV JET Edition launched at Rs 17.50 lakh: Here are all the changes – Times of India

Along with the introduction of the special ‘JET’ Edition versions of the Nexon, Harrier, and Safari SUVs, Tata Motors has provided the same treatment to the Nexon EV as well. The Nexon EV JET Edition has been launched in India at a starting price of Rs 17.50 lakh, with the special treatment being available with both the Prime and Max versions of the electric SUV.
What makes the new Tata Nexon EV JET Edition special? For starters, the special edition version of the EV gets the Unique Starlight exterior paint scheme, which includes an earthy bronze shade for the body, coupled with a platinum silver roof. The JET Edition also gets blacked out alloy wheels and ORVMs.
On the inside, Tata is offering the Nexon EV JET Edition with a dual-tone white and black layout with bronze inserts on the dashboards and the doors. The car gets ventilated front seats, along with #JET branding on the seat headrests. Do note that the changes are limited to visual enhancements only.
The Nexon EV Prime’s electric motor is powered by a 30.2 kWh battery pack, and puts out 129 PS power and 245 Nm torque. It has a claimed range of 312 km on a single full charge, and it would take 9 hours and 10 minutes to charge the electric SUV from 10% to 90% through a standard 15 A plug point, while a fast charger would charge the battery from 10% to 80% in an hour.
In contrast, the Nexon EV Max gets a larger 40.5 kWh battery pack that can be charged from 0 to 100% in 6.5 hours through a 7.2 kW AC fast charger, and 0 to 80% in 56 minutes via a 50 kW DC fast charger. The electric motor on the Nexon EV Max puts out 143 PS of max power and 250 Nm of peak torque, helping the SUV sprint from 0 to 100 kmph in just 9 seconds.
