Tata Motors’ vehicles to get costlier from July 17; Firm grants protection to bookings until July 16

Tata Motors price hike: automobile giants Tata Motors On Monday, from July 17, informed about the increase in the prices of its passenger cars. However, Tata Motors also informed about giving protection on all bookings till July 16, 2023.

The increased prices will be applicable to both ICE vehicles and EVs. According to the company, buyers can expect a 0.6 per cent hike in prices across all models and variants on an average. The company attributed the increased prices to rising input costs and regulatory changes, with the automobile firm informing buyers to provide price protection for bookings made till July 16 and deliveries till July 31.

The auto giant sold 2,26,245 units in the first quarter of FY 2023-24 as against 2,31,248 units in the first quarter of FY 2022-23.

For domestic sales done on June 23, Tata Motors sold 80,383 units as they registered higher sales figures as compared to June 22 with sales of 79,606 units.

As for the total sales made in the domestic market for both PV (photovoltaic vehicles) and EV (electric vehicles), a total of 47,235 units were sold on June 23 as compared to 45,197 units on June 22.

Earlier in April, the implementation of BharatStage VI norms led to an increase in the prices of vehicles across all segments in India.
