A person belonging to the Kashmiri Pandit community was shot dead by terrorists in Jammu and Kashmir’s Pulwama district on Sunday. Police gave this information.

The victim has been identified as 40-year-old Sanjay Sharma, a resident of Achan area of ​​South Kashmir district.

The incident took place in the local market around 11 am.

Kashmir Zone Police wrote on Twitter, “Terrorists fired upon a minority civilian named Achan Pulwama r/o Sanjay Sharma s/o Kashinath Sharma while he was going to local market.”

He said Sharma was taken to the hospital but he succumbed to his injuries. Police said, “There was an armed guard in his village. The area was cordoned off. Details will follow.”

Mehbooba Mufti targeted the government

Criticizing the government over the terror attack, PDP chief Mehbooba Mufti said, “These incidents only benefit the BJP, be it in Haryana or Kashmir. The BJP failed to protect the lives of the minorities here. They are in the Valley.” Just use minorities to show normalcy.”

She said, “BJP uses such incidents to malign the image of Muslims in the country. I condemn this act. This is not the behavior of Kashmiri people. All these acts show the failures of the government.”
