Manimegalai gained prominence with the popular cooking television program Cooku with Comali. She has been part of this show since 2019.

Manimegalai is a famous face in the Telugu television industry. She has hosted several well-known shows that were highly loved by the audience. She gained prominence with the popular cooking television program Cooku with Comali. Manimegalai has been part of this show since 2019. But she has now taken a decision that has left her fans dumbstruck.

The anchor took to Instagram to share about her decision with her friends. She also mentioned the reason behind such a hard step. Through the post on Instagram, Manimegalai revealed that she has decided to step down from the show. She wrote, “Not a Part of Cook With Comali anymore. With utmost sincerity, honesty & dedication I always give my 100 per cent effort and hard work in whichever programme I am committed to. Same with CWC Since 2019 Nov, where the journey of the stress buster show began.”

The famous television presenter mentioned that nothing is bigger to her than her self-respect. She added that nothing matters to her more than her self-respect which is the reason she decided to move away from the show. “But NOTHING is More important than SELF RESPECT! I strictly follow that in all stages of my life. Even Fame, Money, Profession, Opportunities or Whatever, Never Mind. Everything is Secondary when it comes to Self-respect. Hence I walked away from CWC,” Manimegalai added.

Speaking about the real reason behind such a step, Manimegalai said that in this season of Cooku with Comali, she was dominated by another female anchor who was supposed to be a cook on the show. The other person reportedly interrupted all her potions which was not allowing her to do her job accurately.

When Manimegalai decided to speak about this, she was not given much notice. “But I will always raise my voice for whatever is right for me & I don’t care about anybody. A lot of negativity & dominance overshadow the Originality of the show. This is not the same CWC which I used to enjoy working with before. So I’m not part of it anymore,” she added.

Manimegalai further stated that she has faced many ups and downs in her professional life but to date, she hasn’t faced such immature behaviour. The television presenter added that she will cherish all moments of the show.
