Police are trying to find out the exact reason behind Maithili’s suicide attempt.
Maithili had filed a complaint of harassment against her husband and four others in September 2021.
In a shocking turn of events, Tamil TV actress Maithili attempted suicide by consuming an excessive amount of alcohol along with sleeping pills. The Panjagutta police station has received information about the suicide attempt and they tracked the actress through her phone signal. When the police reached the spot, they found Maithili in an unconscious state and found Breezer bottles along with sleeping pills. Police have registered a case and Maithili has been shifted to the nearest hospital.
Police are trying to find out the exact reason behind Maithili’s suicide attempt. They are also probing whether her husband Sridhar Reddy and his family are involved in the matter.
Talking to Sakshi media channel, Maithili has said that her husband Sridhar Reddy fled with dowry money, jewelery and his car. Maithili also said that she has filed a complaint against her husband but no action has been taken yet. According to Maithili, he tried to commit suicide as justice was not served.
Maithili’s father also spoke to the channel and said that after the actress’s marriage, her husband Sridhar Reddy got involved in an extramarital affair. Yela Reddy (Maithili’s father) also claimed that Sridhar Reddy fled with Rs 13 lakh, two cars, a scooty and jewellery. Yela Reddy requested the police to take action and is waiting to get justice.
In September last year, Maithili lodged a complaint of harassment against her husband Sridhar Reddy and four others at the Panjagutta police station. Preliminary investigation in the matter has been completed. Maithili had also lodged a complaint against her husband and his family at Moti police station in Suryapet district.
