BJP chief JP Nadda was speaking at a rally at the end of the BJP’s week-long Rath Yatra, which began on January 5 from Dharam Nagar and Sabroom, which was flagged off by Union Home Minister Amit Shah.

National President of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) launching the campaign in Tripura JP Nadda Thursday urged the opposition Congress and the Communist Party India (m) to rest at home for the time being and “let the BJP continue with its high-voltage development work”.

“Before the assembly elections, the Prime Minister Narendra Modi Had called for HIRA government to be formed instead of Manik, meaning Tripura should have Highways, Internet, Railways and Aviation (HIRA). This has been achieved. We have to strive for better things after coming to power in the upcoming elections, Nadda said.

Nadda said Tripura had only one highway in 2018, but now there are seven highways in the state. “There were health care facilities, but today there are seven hospitals in the state with all kinds of facilities. Tripura’s connectivity problems have reduced a lot in the last five years and very soon the state will be connected internationally.

Nadda was speaking at a rally at the end of the BJP’s week-long Rath Yatra, which began on January 5 from Dharam Nagar and Sabroom, which was flagged off by Union Home Minister Amit Shah. Nadda participated in the road show from Kaman Chowmuhuni to UK Academy Ground.

On the other hand, All India Congress General Secretary Mukul Wasnik while addressing the press in Agartala released a special WhatsApp number ahead of the elections.

“Our office was set on fire recently. The BJP has maintained a reign of terror in Tripura. Kindly contact on this WhatsApp number in case of any issue – 690907770. We promise to keep your identity a secret and we promise to fight for you,” he said.
