  • What should I follow:

Opener Tadiwanshe Marumani was on Friday recalled in Zimbabwe’s 15-man squad for the three-match home T20I series against Afghanistan starting June 11.

Marumani last played in Scotland in September 2021. He was not part of and was not included in Zimbabwe’s squad for the series against Namibia earlier this year. Afghanistan ODIs too.

The 20-year-old has played 11 T20Is so far and scored 118 runs and is the only new face in the list.

Zimbabwe have retained the rest of their squad from the Afghanistan ODIs, apart from batsman Takudzwanashe Kaitano and fast bowler Tanaka Chiwanga.

The T20I will serve as a part of Zimbabwe’s preparation for the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup Qualifier B 2022, which will help them qualify for the main tournament later this year.

Squad: Craig Ervine (Captain), Ryan Burle, Regis Chakabwa, Tendai Chatra, Luke Jongwe, Innocent Kaya, Clive Madande, Wesley Madhavere, Tadiwanshe Marumani, Blessing Mujarbani, Dion Myers, Ainsley Nadlov, Sikandar Raza, Milton Shumba, Donald Tiripano.
