The tableaux of “Khela Hobe” and “Lakkhi Bhandar” are going to be the main attraction this year on the occasion of 75th Independence Day in West Bengal. Preparations are underway amid tight security on the Red Road, which will be held on August 15, where the Chief Minister will unfurl the flag tomorrow.
Ahead of assembly elections 2021, TMC’s “khela hobe” slogan gave a tough fight to Bengal. After the victory, for the third time in a row, Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee declared August 16 as “Khela Hobe Divas”. A “Khela Hobe” tableau will be specially displayed for him. Apart from “Khela Hobe”, “Lakkhi Bhandar” (a special scheme for women) has also taken place in the tableau car as it is a recently launched scheme by the state.
“Student Credit Card”, “Duare Sarkar” (Government is at your doorstep), “Duare Ration” (food grains will reach your doorstep at subsidized rate) are other schemes which are going to be displayed in the tableau this year. .
Security arrangements have been kept very tight on Red Road. However, this year during the festival no spectators other than the delegates will be present on the Red Road due to the pandemic.
Around 500 CCTV cameras, three watch towers, 15 police support booths have been arranged from Kolkata Police Headquarters (Lalbazar) with heavy force. The drones will capture every moment of the activity and will be monitored from the Lalbazar control room.
A senior Lalbazar official said, “Security has been beefed up in and around Red Road. Every checkpoint of the city is being monitored and stations are also being monitored.
