T-Series Sends Legal Notice Hera Pheri 3 Makers For Not Taking Permission For Rights To Use Audio & Visuals

T-Series has sent a legal notice to the makers regarding music rights and distribution. The notice comes days after the shooting of the film with Akshay Kumar, Sunil Shetty and Paresh Rawal began.

According to a trade magazine, T-Series has issued a public notice to the makers of Hera Pheri 4, claiming all audio and visual rights of every song from the film’s franchise. In the notice, the production company called itself the “sole and exclusive right holder” of all copyrights of all “musical and audio visual song rights” of the franchise film across all modes, medium and formats (whether existing now and arising in future) Is. An excerpt from the official notice states, “Notice is hereby given to the public in general and in particular to the film trade that Super Cassettes Industries Private Limited (T-Series) is the sole and absolute owner of the copyright in respect of Music and Audio Visual is the owner of the Songs i.e. the master sound recording, the literary work and the musical work embodied in the sound recording, and the audio visual rights of all the Songs (hereinafter referred to as the “Music and Audio Visual Song Rights”) for the entire world in all modes, on media to be exploited and released in the currently “untitled” Hindi language film format (whether existing and/or arising in the future), as part of a franchise of «Hera Pheri’ films (hereinafter referred to as the “Franchise film”); the music and audio visual song rights were assigned to T-Series by Base Industries Group.

‘Hera Pheri 4’ will be directed by Farhad Samji. Apart from its original cast of Akshay Kumar, Paresh Rawal and Sunil Shetty, the film will also star Sanjay Dutt in a pivotal role.
