T Natarajan Tests Positive For Covid-19, Fate Of SRH Vs DC Match Rests On Team Next RT-PCR Test

The Indian Premier League has again come under the threat of Covid-19 ahead of the Delhi Capitals vs Sunrisers Hyderabad game later on Wednesday.

As per sources, one SRH player, T Natarajan, has tested positive for Covid-19, with the fate of the remaining squad clashing against DC on the RTPCR report.

Earlier in May, the 14th season of the IPL was suspended after four cricketers tested positive for coronavirus. After a gap of almost four months, in the IPL, Chennai Super Kings beat Mumbai Indians, Kolkata Knight Riders beat Royal Challengers Bangalore and Rajasthan Royals beat Punjab Kings in the first three matches.

Sunrisers Hyderabad player T Natarajan tested positive for COVID-19 in a scheduled RT-PCR test. The player has isolated himself from the rest of the team. He is presently asymptomatic.

The medical team has identified six close contacts of the player, who have also been kept in isolation:

1. Vijay Shankar – Player

2. Vijay Kumar – Team Manager

3. Shyam Sundar J – Physiotherapist

4. Anjana Vannan – Doctor

5. Tushar Khedkar – Logistics Manager

6. Periyasamy Ganesan – Net Bowler

Rest of the team including close contacts conducted RT-PCR test at 5 am local time this morning and the test report is negative. Consequently, tonight’s game between Sunrisers Hyderabad and Delhi Capitals will take place at the Dubai International Stadium, Dubai.
