She was in news recently when she announced her decision to become a single mother through adoption. Now in a conversation with ETimes, Swara gave a glimpse of her uncompromising stand on relationships. The 33-year-old said that she would not settle down with anyone just for the sake of her child.
Swara believed that two parents are ideal for a child, but only when both of them love each other. Or else, the actress rightly said that the children will grow up in a broken family. Swara said that single parenting in India is not that difficult as children grow up with the help of grandparents, uncles, aunts and other relatives.
“So I don’t fear the part, that I need to settle down if I want to have kids. I don’t want to compromise with someone I don’t love, just because I want to have a baby. So it’s not on my mind,” she told the ETimes.
Swara further said that she was always clear about the fact that she wanted to have a child. However, she said that adoption is a time-consuming process, and she has no problem with it.
She was also asked what advice she would give to youths who share their views on issues similar to hers. Swara replied that if someone believes in something and they are willing to stand for it, it comes with a price tag. On concerns about being trolled for her opinion, the actress said that one should have the confidence to stand up to any kind of bullying.
