Sutapa Sikdar shares 3 year old video of Irrfan Khan from the sets of Angrezi Medium

Late actor Irrfan Khan’s wife Sutapa Sikdar and their son Babil Khan often share beautiful memories of Irrfan as he passed away last year after a long battle with cancer. The unseen pictures and videos are a treasure trove for her fans, who get to see her personal side. On Friday, Sutapa posted a heartwarming clip from the sets of her last film, Angrezi Medium. film, which also starred Kareena Kapoor Khan And Radhika Madan was shot in India as well as London.

The three-year-old recording is from the set of Angrezi Medium in London. Irfan was undergoing treatment for cancer at that time. In the footage, he can be seen sitting in his make-up van along with his wife and crew members and playing cards as the evergreen song Jab Jab Zulfen Teri Baajta Hai plays in the background. His wife can be heard telling him that the song is as melodious as it is. Irfan nods his head and smiles at her.

In the caption of the post, Sutapa told the fans that Irfan was not feeling well on the day this video was shot, but it was difficult to tell from his antics. He further wrote that he hated playing cards but still saw everyone playing in his vanity van as he himself read a book. She ends the note by saying that she longs for his “indulgence”.

Soon after the clip was posted by the late star’s wife, fans and celebrities started commenting on it. Actress Tillotama Shome thanked Sutapa for sharing this beautiful moment. A fan told her that she is the luckiest wife because her husband was such a great actor and human being. Another fan said that Irrfan’s life is an inspiration to all.

Irrfan was diagnosed with a neuroendocrine tumor in March 2018 after which he went to London for treatment. In February the following year, he returned to India to shoot for Angrezi Medium, but went back after a brief stay in Mumbai. After his treatment was over, he returned to India in September. However, his condition deteriorated in 2020 and he was admitted to Kokilaben Hospital in Mumbai in the last week of April. He breathed his last on 29 April.
