New Delhi: Looks like former Miss Universe Sushmita Sen has found love again! The 46-year-old actor is now in a relationship with businessman and former IPL chairman Lalit Modi. Lalit Modi took to Twitter to announce about their dating and called the actor his ‘better half’.
He wrote on Twitter, “Back after a dizzying tour of #Maldives #Sardinia with families in London – my #betterhalf @sushmitasen47 – a new beginning a new life at the end. Over the moon,” of Lovestreak and heart emoticons.
He also shared a carousel of pictures on his Twitter. In one of the pictures, the two can be seen cozying up to each other amidst the blue waters of the sea. In another, the ‘Aarya’ actress and Lalit Modi are all smiles as they pose for a selfie. The rest two are old photos from the archives where the two have been caught sharing candid moments at public events.

Meanwhile, Sushmita Sen’s brother Rajeev Sen reacted to his sister’s relationship with the London-based businessman. In a conversation with India Today, Rajeev Sen said, “I have also been pleasantly surprised. I will talk to my sister about this.” Significantly, Rajiv was in the news recently due to the news of separation from wife Charu Asopa. The couple, who welcomed their first child together – Ziana, a baby girl in November 2021, are going for divorce.
Sushmita, 46, is yet to confirm her relationship with Lalit Modi. She had announced her separation from model-actor Rohman Shawl in December last year through an Instagram post. “We started out as friends, we remained friends! The relationship had grown long… the love remains,” she wrote. She came up with the post with the hashtag #nomorespeculations.
Lalit Modi had shifted from India to London in 2010 amid scandals and controversies related to the cricket tournament IPL. In March, the High Court of London cleared him of an alleged ‘actionable misrepresentation’ in a legal challenge by former Indian model-turned-investor Gurpreet Gill Mag.
Sushmita Sen, who was crowned Miss Universe in 1994, made her Bollywood debut with the 1996 film Dastak. The 46-year-old actress has two daughters- Alisa and Renee.
