Survey doesn’t matter, we will get more than 300 seats: Akhilesh

He claimed that the SP-led coalition will form the next government in Uttar Pradesh with over 300 seats.

The SP chief slammed the ruling BJP for presenting “lies and fake data” during the campaign, and said people realized this and instead voted for their future – against inflation and unemployment and for development.

At the end of the BJP’s attack on “familyism” throughout the elections, Yadav hit back, claiming that the most cases of dynastic politics are found in the ruling party.

Uttar Pradesh has 403 member house. The results of the UP elections will be announced on March 10 along with Punjab, Uttarakhand, Goa and Manipur.

Asked how the 2022 elections were different for him as he was the sole face of the party and led the SP’s campaign, Yadav said, “The elections were fought by the party and its cadre.”

“I was there with them. We were prepared in advance. We organized training camps, took out Rath Yatras, the response to which was overwhelming. It rejuvenated the party cadre and energized the party workers, who wholeheartedly worked to ensure victory. Work done.”

“It will be a victory for the voters,” he said.

The SP supremo held over 120 public meetings across the state to garner support for his party as well as alliance partners.

About BJP, he said, “The party has forgotten the dignity and decency of democracy. The votes it got (in 2017, 2019) had no value. It used bulldozers, abused students and lathi-charged them. It was all against the common man.”

On allegations of “parivarism”, or dynastic politics, leveled against him by Prime Minister Narendra Modi and other BJP leaders during the campaign, he claimed, “BJP is the party where there is maximum ‘parivarism’.”

He mentioned Union Minister Jyotiraditya Scindia as a member of a political dynasty. He also indirectly referred to Defense Minister Rajnath Singh and former Chief Minister Kalyan Singh, whose children had entered politics.

Attacking Union Home Minister Amit Shah, he said, ‘His son is in the Cricket Board (BCCI). What qualifications does he have?”
