CHICAGO (WLS) — Surveillance video shows moments after a shooting and accident on Chicago’s West Side.

In the video, you can see the victims escorting a child to a safe place inside a fast-food restaurant.

The accident was swift and intense.

According to the police, it all started before 1 pm on Sunday at 100 block of KDG Avenue in NN and W. Happened in the 3200 block of Chicago Avenue.

Surveillance cameras at West Side Popeyes nearly captured the aerial impact as two cars collided from opposite directions.

A few seconds before the accident, Popeye’s employees said they heard gunshots.

The general manager of the store said, “My employees, as soon as they heard this, my manager told them to go downstairs to be safe so they wouldn’t get shot because they didn’t know where the shots were coming from.” , Lario Arizai.

Police said someone was taking out the sunroof in this black BMW SUV, and at least two of them hit a man and a woman inside a black sedan.

One black car then slid off the road and collided with another, narrowly escaping a row of cars in the drive-thru.

Just then you see a woman holding a child from the back seat of the vehicle and a man walking limping with them in the restaurant.

Ariazzi said, “She has a baby and the child was crying because she was afraid that something was going to happen to her mother because your mother was crying.” “Mother is shot in the leg.”

Popeyes employees called 911 and as the injured couple headed to the hospital, police repeatedly closed the fast-food store for hours to review videos while employees cleaned up blood from the shooting . This made them feel uncomfortable and insecure at work.

Both the victims were taken to Stroger Hospital, where their condition was initially stated to be critical.

No one is in custody and spies in the area are investigating.
