Suresh Babu is planning a Telugu remake of Malayalam film Bro Daddy with this father-son duo

The web series will stream on Netflix.

Seeing Arun Malayalam film Bro Daddy, Suresh Babu decided to make it a Telugu remake.

Producer Suresh Babu is known for remaking Malayalam, Kannada and Telugu films. Now, she is in the process of getting the rights of the recently released Malayalam film Bro Daddy starring Mohanlal and Prithviraj. Suresh was looking for a story to show his brother Venkatesh Daggubati with his son Rana Daggubati. Suresh Babu’s dream of years seems to be coming true as he will be producing a film starring his brother and son.

Bro Daddy is a 2022 Malayalam comedy-drama film directed by Prithviraj Sukumaran. It was produced by Antony Perumbavoor through Ashirwad Cinemas. The film was released on January 26 on Disney+Hotstar. The report states that seeing a good publicity about the film, Suresh decided to make a Telugu remake of it. He is now in talks with the makers of Bro Daddy to finalize the deal for the remake rights of the film.

Influenced by the film’s story, Suresh believes that the characters of father and son, played by Mohanlal and Prithviraj respectively, are ideal to be played by Venkatesh and Rana in the film produced by them. The story of the film revolves around a son who cannot stand his father’s antics and decides to live life on his own terms. The son falls in love with a girl and his father helps him run the girl away which results in hilarious mistakes.

Prithviraj’s previous directorial Lucifer (2019) is also being remade in Telugu starring Chiranjeevi. The makers have released his latest film Bro Daddy in Malayalam version without dubbing on Disney+ Hotstar.

Actor Rana Daggubati will be sharing screen space with his uncle and actor Venkatesh Daggubati for the first time in a web series titled Rana Naidu. The web series will stream on Netflix.
