Surat records 97 new covid-19 cases, three omicron infections. Surat News – Times of India

Surat: Three persons with no travel history have tested positive for Omron in Surat On Friday, 97 new cases of Kovid-19 were also registered in Diamond City.

A 66-year-old woman from Ghod Dod Road was another omicron who was infected without any travel history. He got tested for Kovid on 17 December after complaining of cold and cough. Health officials said the fully vaccinated woman was stable.
None of the 24 people who came in contact with the patient were found positive.
The third Omicron patient is a 46-year-old builder from the City Light area with no travel history. He tested Covid positive on 19 December after complaining of fever. He has been fully vaccinated. All his 21 contacts were found negative for coronavirus.
Surat Municipal Corporation (SMC) health officials said that 12 school and college students tested positive for Covid-19 on Friday. Of the total cases reported in the city, five persons had international travel history.
Four people of the same family were found positive in Vaniraj Residency of Sarthana, after which the society has been declared as a cluster area. Three members of a family were found infected at Neelkanth Residency in Rander, after which the society was declared as a cluster zone.
