Surat: Police organized drawing, essay competition for school children. Surat News – Times of India

Surat: Municipal Police and Education Department jointly organized essay writing and drawing competition For students at Sanskar Bharti School in Adajan on Thursday. The competitions were held as part of the celebration of unity day.
Both the competitions were based on the role of the police. The theme of the painting competition was ‘Police, an undivided part of the country’ while the theme of the essay writing was ‘Contribution of Police in nation building’.
A total of 700 students studying in classes VI to XII from 151 schools participated in both the competitions. The winners will be distributed worth over Rs 50,000.
“The competitions were organized to commemorate Ekta Diwas. A series of events are being organized so that more and more people can participate in them.” Ajay TomriCity Police Commissioner.
“We planned the program to create awareness among children and strengthen unity among young citizens,” Tomar said. Tomar also tested the general awareness of the students during the function.
