Actor Sunny Kaushal is thrilled about the positive developments within his family, as both his brother Vicky Kaushal and girlfriend Sharvari Wagh are achieving new professional milestones. Sunny himself is eagerly awaiting the release of his biggest career project, ‘Phir Aayi Hasseen Dillruba.’
Vicky Kaushal recently celebrated his career-best opening with Karan Johar’s ‘Bad Newz,’ co-starring Triptii Dimri and Ammy Virk. Just weeks earlier, the horror comedy ‘Munjya’ surprised everyone by earning over Rs 100 crore at the box office. Sharvari, who starred in ‘Munjya,’ followed this success with her role in ‘Maharaj,’ marking the debut of Aamir Khan’s son, Junaid. She is also set to appear in the upcoming spy universe film ‘Alpha,’ led by Alia Bhatt.
In an interview with indianexpress.com, Sunny shared his thoughts on the recent successes of his loved ones. “The vibe is really good. When people around you are doing well in their lives, doing what they love and always imagined, and start getting that validation, it is extremely special. That’s all I can say, now please watch my film, ‘Phir Aayi Hasseen Dillruba!’” he said.
Sunny Kaushal is the latest addition to the cast of ‘Phir Aayi Hasseen Dillruba,’ the highly anticipated sequel to the 2021 thriller featuring Taapsee Pannu and Vikrant Massey. Directed by Jayprad Desai, the film is set to release on Netflix on August 9.
Picking up where the first film Haseen Dillruba left off, the story follows Rani Kashyap and Rishabh Saxena as they seek a fresh start in the vibrant city of Agra. With authorities on their trail and drops of blood marking their path, their quest takes a dramatic turn with the arrival of Sunny Kaushal’s character, Abhimanyu, introducing a fresh layer of intrigue to the drama. The lovers find new enemies with Jimmy Shergill and many more who want to foil their plans of ‘happily ever after.’
In December 2023, Taapsee Pannu, Sunny Kaushal and Vikrant Massey wrapped up shooting for the sequel of Haseen Dillruba. At the announcement event, Taapsee said, “Hai toh sequel. Toh, continuation hota hai ek taarike se. Main yahi kahungi ke Phir Aayi Haseen Dillruba ki Rani mein thora zyada pyaar hai, thori zyada himmat hai aur thora zyada pagalpan hai. Kyunki jo pagalpan ke hadh se na guzre woh pyar hee kya? Hosh mein toh rishte nibhaye jaatey hai (If there’s a sequel, it’s like a continuation. I’ll say this: in “Phir Aayi Haseen Dillruba ki Rani,” there’s a bit more love, a bit more courage, and a bit more craziness. Because what’s love without a little madness? Relationships are built in consciousness).”
