After Anubhav Sinha revealed the title of Rajkummar Rao starrer ‘Bhoad’, Sunny Deol has shared a teaser poster of his upcoming film. Deol promised to announce ‘something very special’ on the occasion of Dussehra 2021.
Was Sunny Deol hinting at a sequel to ‘Gadar’?
The actor-turned-politician shared a poster on his Instagram and Twitter handle with the caption, “Tomorrow morning at 11am to announce something very special and close to my heart. Watch this space tomorrow.” The line ‘Katha continues’ caught the attention of netizens, who were kind enough to speculate that Deol would announce ‘Gadar 2’.
The poster has created anticipation for ‘Gadar 2’ which is expected to go on floors soon. Fans have flooded their messages in the comment section.
Ameesha Patel, who played the lead role in ‘Gadar: Ek Prem Katha’ also teased fans on social media. He wrote, “Are you ready for the biggest announcement of the year? Check out this space tomorrow at 11am to find out!”
Bollywood critic and trade analyst Taran Adarsh also shared the same poster on Twitter and gave big hints about the film.
“BIGGG NEWS… This #Hindi film is considered to be one of the highest grossing films of all time… Powerful plot, gripping screenplay, unforgettable dialogues, melodious music and excellent performances, the recall value is tremendous… Now comes the sequel… Watch this space,” Adarsh wrote on the micro-blogging site.
Gadar: Ek Prem Katha, directed by Anil Sharma, was set against the backdrop of the partition of India. The film also starred the late Amrish Puri in an important role. Anil Sharma’s son Utkarsh Sharma played the on-screen son of Sunny and Ameesha in ‘Gadar’, which emerged as the highest-grossing film of its time.
