Sunny Deol and Preity Zinta featured in a pan masala ad with Shakti Kapoor, Delnaaz and several child actors.
Sunny Deol and Preity Zinta have caught everyone’s attention after their old ‘pan masala’ advertisement resurfaced on Reddit. The video also features actors like Shakti Kapoor and Delnaaz Irani. It has gone viral on the microblogging site and fans are criticising the actors for endorsing such a product, especially with a commercial featuring children.
The advertisement shows a group of tourists in a bus, excitedly fighting over a brand of pan masala. One of the kids spots Sunny Deol and Preity Zinta along the way, who also express their fondness for the product. Sunny even calls the packet his ‘autograph’. The video features several well-known actors and also many child artists. Watch the video here:
One person wrote in the comments section, “Is it really Gutkha?? If yes why the hell is he giving that to a kid .” Another wrote, “Probably not actual gutka but some surrogate product which has another version with tobacco added to it.” One person commented, “They could have avoided putting kids in such ads ♀️.” Another mentioned, “I would like to appreciate this ensemble cast minus the product.” Another comment read, “Arey isko defend mat karo .”
Meanwhile, Preity Zinta, known for her roles in iconic films like Dil Se, Kal Ho Naa Ho, and Veer-Zaara, is all set for her Bollywood comeback. After a hiatus of six years, the actress will soon be seen in Lahore 1947 with Sunny Deol. Preity’s hiatus began when she moved to Los Angeles after her wedding to Gene Goodenough.
In an interview with DD India, Preity Zinta said, “I didn’t want to do a film. I was focusing on business, I wanted to focus on my personal life. People forget that for women, as actors, your craft is important, you want a body of work, but you have a biological clock. I’ve never dated anyone in the industry. I’ve never dated an actor. So the logical thing was I also needed to have my own family. It’s great to play various lives, but you shouldn’t forget to live your life. So I wanted to have children. Business was also very exciting since it was something new. But mostly, I wanted to focus on my personal life. I really don’t want to be an accomplished actor and a lonely person.”
As for Sunny Deol, the actor was last seen in Gadar 2. Sunny reprised his role from the original film and romanced Amisha Patel in the superhit film.
