Sumbul Touqeer on Joining ‘Dear Ishq’: I am Equally Excited and Nervous About the Role

New Delhi: Excited about her cameo in the web show ‘Dear Ishq’, former ‘Bigg Boss 16’ contestant Sumbul Touqueer says she is fond of fantasy dramas and it is indeed a great experience to be a part of it.

She is also excited that after being a part of a reality show, she is going to showcase her acting talent to the audience. She plays the role of an influencer who plans to promote Rizwan’s (Kunal Verma) book and compete with Abhimanyu (Sehban Azim).

“I am a fan of fiction shows and this is my first appearance after ‘Bigg Boss’ where the audience will see me as an actress and not as myself. I am equal parts excited and nervous about the role,” she added. I want to play my part.” Best foot forward. The actress is known for her work in ‘Article 15’, ‘Ishaaron Ishaaron Mein’, and later rose to fame with her title role in the show ‘Imli’. He further shared his experience of working with director Atif Khan and lead actress Niyati Fatnani.

The show is a web adaptation of Ravinder Singh’s book ‘Write Me A Love Story’ and it is a story of two persons who have completely opposite personalities but gradually they start liking each other.

‘Dear Ishq’ is a love story between a bestselling author and an editor. It stars Sehban Azim as writer Abhimanyu Razdan and Niyati Fatnani as editor Asmita Roy. Apart from the main characters, it also stars Kunal Verma, Vikas Grover, Kishwar Merchant, Jyoti B. Banerjee, Punit Tejwani, Roma Bali, Bina Mukherjee and Baneet Kapoor are also there.

Directed by Atif Khan and produced by Yash Patnaik and Mamta Patnaik, the show streams on Disney+Hotstar.
