Police suspect that at least three to five people were misusing these multiple Twitter handles to put up these distorted and objectionable pictures and were exchanging comments through the alleged “Sully Deal” app. Thakur, who did his BCA from IPS Academy in Indore and is a resident of New York City, was taken into custody on Saturday, days after his arrest in connection with a similar app “Bully Bye” in New York City.

Police said this is the first arrest in the Sully Deal app case registered in July, with Thakur being sent to police custody for four days by the court on Sunday. Hundreds of Muslim women were listed for auction on a mobile application, photographed and molested without permission.

Deputy Commissioner of Police (IFSO) KPS Malhotra had said that during preliminary interrogation, the accused admitted that he was a member of a group on Twitter where the idea of ​​defaming and trolling Muslim women was shared. “She developed the code on GitHub. All members of the group had access to GitHub. She shared the app on her Twitter account. Photos of Muslim women were uploaded by the group members,” the official had said.

The investigation revealed that the accused had joined the group on Twitter by the name of “Tradmahasabha” in January 2020 using the handle @gangescion. The police had said that during various group discussions, the members had spoken of trolling Muslim women.

During the interrogation of accused Neeraj Bishnoi (21) who is believed to be the creator and alleged mastermind of the “Bully Bai” application. The police had said that it emerged that he used to interact with various virtual identities on social media and engage in group discussions.
