Regina Cassandra and Nivetha Thomas’ upcoming Telugu action film Sakini Dhakini will soon see an OTT release. Helmed by Swami Ra Ra fame Sudhir Varma, the film is the official Telugu adaptation of the Korean action-thriller Midnight Runners. Due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic, several filmmakers had registered complete success with direct OTT releases.

The story of the film revolves around two students at a police academy and how they nab an entire gang of human traffickers. The Korean action-comedy was released in 2017. Directed by Jason Kim, the Korean version stars two male actors – Park Seo-joon and Kang Ha-neul – in the lead roles.
Meanwhile, the Telugu remake stars two leading ladies of the film industry – Regina Cassandra and Nivetha Thomas. The film is directed by Suresh Productions.
Let us tell you that filmmakers from many other countries are considering remaking Midnight Runner. Apart from the Telugu remake, Regina is also busy these days in her upcoming Tamil film ‘Border’. Meanwhile, there is no update on any upcoming projects of Nivetha Thomas.
The film is directed by Suresh Productions. The production house gave many hits in 2021. The Tamil remake of Narappa, directed by Srikanth Addala and the Malayalam remake, titled Drishyam 2, starring Jeetu Joseph, was a huge hit.
