Sudheer Babu was last seen in director Mohan Krishna Indraganti’s V. He has always believed in doing something different and new in his career. Right now, he desires to work in a sports film. Speaking exclusively with IndiaToday.in, Sudheer opened up about playing a sportsman and his plans to work in Bollywood post-Baaghi.

SUDHEER’S LOVE FOR SPORTS

For the unaware, Sudheer Babu was a professional badminton player and was ranked number 1 in Andhra Pradesh and Karnataka. Hence, it comes as no surprise when the actor wants to work in a sports film.

Sudheer said, “I am really scared to say this – because the moment I talk about a role, people who are writing characters come with their scripts. Basically, I was a sportsman before getting into films. A major part of my success was when I played sports and, because of that, I met certain actors. So, my biggest desire is to do a sports film. It will be like giving back to something I have achieved from.”

SUDHEER ON MAKING HIS BOLLYWOOD COMEBACK

On the other hand, Sudheer made his Bollywood debut in 2016 with Tiger Shroff’s Baaghi. Though the film was an average-grosser, Sudheer’s performance as the antagonist was lauded. Post the release of Baaghi, the actor didn’t do any Bollywood films.

Ask him the reason behind it and he said, “It was not a conscious decision to stay away from Bollywood. Also, I have a huge scope to grow in Tollywood and I have just 24 hours a day to work. If I had an option of 48 hours or more than that, I would have tried to do more films in Bollywood. But at the same time, there is no Bollywood or Tollywood anymore. Every film of mine is being dubbed in Hindi and is available digitally on different platforms. So it’s not that I am away from the Bollywood audience. Right now, I am looking at certain scripts where there are no cultural differences. Then maybe, I can simultaneously shoot it in Hindi and Telugu. in both places.”
