After watching some scam bait content on YouTube my family has made a sport out of wasting the scammer’s time in the hopes of reducing the amount of time said scammer would spend successfully scamming others,” wrote an individual.

Another added, “Every 2-3 days, I am getting calls from FedEx, post office and such random numbers that either my parcel is stuck and then they say illegal stuff. This Issue leads to a big question how can someone get a mobile connection and bank account/wallet without KYC.”

“Fraudsters have become bold, confident and also lazy. Not even taking the trouble to conduct research to identify their potential victims,” said a third.

A fourth posted, “Why can’t Telecom be made party to such scams? Telecoms with the latest technologies that claim to have AI, blockchain, 5G etc should be able to stop scams using their platforms like SMS, Voice calls etc. It is high time that telecoms are held accountable.”

“File online FIR for this one,” suggested a fifth.
