Success Story of UPPCS Topper Sunil Kumar: Today we will tell you the story of Sunil Kumar, who became Deputy SP by securing 75th rank in UPPCS Exam 2018. Growing up in extreme poverty, Sunil had to face many struggles to reach here. His mother had even sold the jewelry to pay the engineering fees. After completing his engineering studies, he prepared for UPSC Civil Services. After three failures in UPSC, he turned to UPPCS and got success.

Father used iron clothes for a living
Sunil Kumar is originally from Kaushambi district of UP. His father used to make a living by sewing clothes. The financial condition of his family was very weak. After getting very good marks in high school, he expressed his desire to do Intermediate from Allahabad. But his father expressed his inability to pay the fees due to financial constraints. With the help of some people he was successful in doing Intermediate from Allahabad. After that he earned an engineering degree. His mother had sold her jewelry to pay the engineering fees.

Such is the attitude of UPPCS
After engineering, Sunil gave the UPSC exam in the year 2015. When he reached the interview round, his confidence increased. He decided to join the civil service and become an IAS. He failed in UPSC Civil Services three times in a row. Seeing the condition of the house, he decided to prepare for UPPCS. Finally in the year 2018, he secured 75th rank and became Deputy SP. This is how he completed his UPPCS journey.

Sunil’s advice to other candidates
Sunil believes that if you want to prepare for UPSC or UPPCS, you have to work hard continuously till you become successful. If your financial condition is good then you should stop only after fulfilling your dream. They believe that all you need is hard work, right guidance, good strategy and family support to crack this exam. Sunil says that if he achieves this position despite all the financial troubles, then anyone can succeed in UPSC by working hard.
