Success Story: Meet IFS Arushi Mishra, IIT Graduate Who Secured Second Rank in UPSC CSE

IFS Arushi Mishra secured second rank in Indian Forest Service Examination (IFoS) of UPSC exam in 2018. Know his success story

Arushi Mishra, an officer in the Indian Forest Service, was born on 31 January 1991 in Prayagraj. His father Ajay Mishra is a senior advocate and his mother Neeta Mishra is a lecturer. Aarushi’s younger brother Arnav Mishra is also the Deputy Collector in Uttar Pradesh. Husband of IFS Aarushi Mishra is IAS Vice President in famous Gaur Agra Development Authority. IFS Arushi Mishra is the Deputy DFO in Agra Forest Department.

IFS Arushi Mishra completed her schooling from Rae Bareli, Uttar Pradesh. He scored 95.14 per cent in class 10 ICSE board exams and 91.2 per cent in class 12. CBSE Board Exam. He obtained his B.Tech degree from IIT Roorkee in the year 2014. After doing B.Tech, Aarushi started preparing for UPSC exam.

IFS Arushi Mishra used to go to coaching for UPSC exam preparation. He had collected subject wise test series and study material. He also gave many mock tests for better preparation of the exam. After his initial unsuccessful attempt at UPSC exam, he started teaching in a coaching class. Along with this she was looking for a job.

IFS Arushi Mishra had secured second rank in Indian Forest Service Examination (IFoS) of UPSC exam in 2018. Earlier in UPSC exam he was allotted the post of IRS with 229th rank. At the same time, in the Uttar Pradesh Public Service Commission Examination (UPPCS Exam), he got the 16th rank and the post of DSP. This journey was not easy for him, but he did not give up and worked harder after every failure.

According to IFS Arushi Mishra, the confusion increases because there are so many options of coaching classes and study material. Initially, she did not study from the study material available on the internet, which also affected her performance. During the days of his struggle, he also had to face the pressure of the society. However, during this time he got full support from his family.

Arushi Mishra shares some special tips for the aspirants preparing for UPSC exam.

1- Make your study plan by understanding the strategy of UPSC toppers.

2- Prepare notes from educational YouTube videos and study material available on the website.

3- To increase focus in studies, do meditation and exercise for 30 minutes daily.

4- Try to give as many mock tests as possible.

IFS Arushi Mishra married IAS Prakash Gaur in November 2021. IAS Prakash Gaur is a 2016 batch officer. He completed his graduation from IIT Delhi. Both had dated each other for a long time. During the preparation of UPSC exam, both of them supported each other like friend and mentor.

Aarushi Mishra is quite popular on social media. He has around 30,000 followers on Instagram. She often attends mentor sessions etc. to help UPSC aspirants.
