Thiruvananthapuram: University Save Abhiyan Committee (SUCC) has filed another petition to Governor Arif Mohammad Khan. The RTI reply indicates that Priya obtained her doctorate degree in 2019 itself. After that he worked as the Student Services Director of Kannur University for two years. In June 2021, she re-joined Kerala Varma College, Thrissur as teaching faculty and in July 2021 she joined Kerala Language Institute as Assistant Director. In her application, it was mentioned that she had nine years of teaching experience at Kerala Varma College. His experience of two years as a guest lecturer in the college was also mentioned. However, he did not mention the three years he spent for PhD and two years on deputation to Kannur University, the petition said.
SUCC said that if a PhD is considered a basic prerequisite in this case, the candidate has only one month’s teaching experience and is therefore not eligible to be considered for the position.
