Rajkummar Rao and Shraddha Kapoor starrer Stree 2 is one of the most anticipated horror comedies of the year. Fans have been eagerly waiting for its release. Well, today after a long wait the teaser was released. It was earlier released in the theatres. Today, Rajkummar Rao shared the teaser on his social handle.
Taking to his Instagram handle, Rajkummar Rao wrote, “Iss baar Chanderi mein azaadi ke din hoga aatank! The legend returns this INDEPENDENCE DAY on 15th August! #Stree2 #SheIsBack #Stree2Teaser.” The video opens with Rajkummar Rao and others pouring milk on the statue of Stree. There is a chaos in the village as they keep saying ‘Stree wapas aa gaye’. Glimpses of Shraddha Kapoor as Stree is also seen. Tamannaah Bhatia is also seen in the teaser.

Fans were quick enough to react. One of the fans wrote, “this Stree is our most favorite.” Another wrote, “Best teaser of the year.”
Also starring Pankaj Tripathi, Aparshakti Khurana and Abhishek Banerjee, it promises a return to the spooky yet hilarious world where the legendary Stree continues to terrify men. Get ready to celebrate Independence Day with a double dose of chills and laughter! Stree 2 is set to hit theaters on August 15, 2024.
After much delay, Stree 2 finally went on floors last year in July in Chanderi, a town in Madhya Pradesh where the first instalment of the horror-comedy franchise was also set. The shoot of the film starring Rajkummar Rao, Shraddha Kapoor, Pankaj Tripathi, Aparshakti Khurana, and Abhishek Banerjee is currently underway.
Stree was released in 2018. It opened to wide critical acclaim and emerged as a commercial success at the box office. The music of the film also drew a lot of attention with Milegi Milegi and Aao Kabhi Haveli Pe becoming raging chartbusters. The audience also fondly remembers Kamariya featuring a scintillating Nora Fatehi, who grabbed a lot of eyeballs for her moves on the track.
Stree 2 is being directed by Amar Kaushik and produced by Dinesh Vijan’s Maddock Films. It is a part of the producer’s horror-comedy universe which includes films like Stree, Roohi, and Bhediya.
