Stree 2 is shattering box office records. The film, which stars Shraddha Kapoor and Rajkummar Rao in the lead, has entered Rs 100 crore club in just two days with its gross collection and is charging towards the Rs 150 crore mark on Sunday. Amid the box office success, a new report has claimed Rajkummar Rao was the highest paid actor of Stree 2. The report added that Shraddha Kapoor got the second highest paid star of the film.
According to ABP, Rajkummar Rao took home Rs 6 crore for reprising his role as Vicky in Stree 2. On the other hand, Shraddha was paid a crore lesser than Rajkummar for the film. She allegedly charged Rs 5 crore for the film. Her fees for Stree 2 is reportedly lesser than her fees for Tu Jhoothi Main Makkaar. According to an Economic Times report from March 2023, Shraddha had charged Rs 7 crore. News18 couldn’t verify these claims at the time of publishing.
Meanwhile, it was reported that Pankaj Tripathi was paid Rs 3 Cr for Stree 2. A Hindustan Times report stated Varun Dhawan charged a fees of Rs 2 Cr for his cameo in the film. Varun reprised his Bhediya avatar for the film. Free Press Journal reported Aparshakti Khurana was allegedly paid Rs 70 lakh while Abhishek Banerjee took home Rs 55 lakh for Stree 2.
Stree 2 released on Independence Day and it clashed with Akshay Kumar’s Khel Khel Mein and John Abraham’s Vedaa. Despite clashing with two big films, Stree 2 has emerged victoriously at the box office. Trade expert Taran Adarsh revealed Stree 2 has collected Rs 145.80 Cr.
